The cost of Nexium is significant. The drug has a price tag of around $500 million, and in 2012, the retail price was $3.6 billion. The cost may be higher for the brand-name version of Nexium, which is available at many retail pharmacies, but the price is lower, the reports.

The agency also cautioned patients to be on a medication called hydroxyzine, which is used to treat high blood pressure.
The FDA also warned that the drug may increase the risk of dementia in people with a history of dementia. The agency also warned that the drug may increase the risk of seizures in people with a history of seizures.
In August, a panel of the panel of the American College of Cardiology called for a new drug recommendation for the drug. The panel concluded that the drug should be approved in the United States, but it had not yet been submitted to the FDA for approval. The panel has recommended that the drug be sold only to patients who have been diagnosed with a heart problem.
